From the winding roads to the meandering streams, the viewer’s eyes wander through the labyrinth laid out by the artist, and one is tempted to lose their way in the complex lines of the landscape. The branches of many dead trees sprawl freely around the canvas, forming a stark contrast to the lush tropical plant in the center of the painting. In the park landscape, which symbolizes civilization and order, the growth patterns of various plants and trees show the unrestrained vitality. As you walk up the staircase into the painting, can you also feel the diversity of the natural world?
