‘There is a very old building in the town.
The old building has stood there
long before television and mobile phone were invented
when there were no cars and trains either.”

The old building is actually a temple. Most of us have visited a temple or shrine before, what about you? Have you been to just worship the gods and leave, like most grownups do? Have you sat on dad’s shoulders to watch a god touring nearby? Have you sat on your grandparents’ motorbike and watched the parade passing by instead? Would you ever walk around and pay attention to details?

When visiting a temple, you can look up and see all kinds of legendary stories painted on the doors, walls, beams and columns. In addition to colors and geometric shapes, you can sometimes find flowers and plants or animals in the pictures. These pictures are known as “multicolored wall paintings”.

The little boy in the story has to tell us about these colorful paintings found in the old building.
