As Chen Cheng-po used to take nature as his studio, perhaps he found this picturesque scene of mountains and waters on the outskirts of Tamsui town. Leaning against the mast, a fisherman is taking a nap on the small boat, and there is a paddling of ducks roaming on the water. On the other side of the river, vast tracts of fields extend as far as the foot of the Datun Mountain. In the wide field of vision, dimly visible are the figures of farmers silently working in the fields. The seasons in the mountains near the river are tranquil and pleasant. Do the father and son who sit fishing at the riverside also take a leisurely stroll around that tranquility?
